The Town of Cape Carteret engaged in an inclusive and thoughtful community planning process that culminated with the adoption of the Town's CAMA & Comprehensive Plan in late 2022. The Plan serves as the Town's guiding document for future development in Cape Carteret, and will serve as the foundation for any future amendments to the Town's development regulations.
The CAMA & Comprehensive Plan outlines the Town's vision for the future, and includes detailed information about existing conditions in the Town, environmental considerations, future land use goals and policies, and more. The Plan also satisfies statutory planning requirements applicable to all coastal counties and municipalities.
