The 2026 Boat Ramp Passes will run from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
The boat ramp pass will be affixed to the winch on the vessel trailer. Please be sure to have your trailer tag number (that the pass will be affixed to) along with your vessel number. The annual permit fees are:
$300 for Cape Carteret residents and property owners ($50 for a second pass)
$600 for Residents of Bogue, Cedar Point, and Peletier
$800 for Other Community Residents
2026 boat ramp passes go on sale Monday, November 3rd at Cape Carteret Town Hall located at 102 Dolphin Street or by completing the online application below.
The Town of Cape Carteret has two public boat ramp facilities. These ramps are located at the end of Manatee St and the end of Bayshore Dr, and are available for Cape Carteret Residents who have obtained an annual boat ramp pass from the Town.
Residents of any other Town who have obtained an annual boat ramp pass from the Town may only use the Manatee St boat ramp.
Town staff will verify residency or property ownership before issuing annual boat ramp passes.
Unauthorized use of the Manatee Street or Bayshore Drive public boat ramp facility will result in the issuance of a citation and $1,000 fine.
**Boat Ramp Pass must be permanently affixed to the left side (port) of the winch post on the boat trailer (vehicle driver’s side).
