Special Bulk Item Collection – Saturday, September 5
The Town's special bulk item collection event is scheduled for Saturday, September 5th. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to conveniently discard of bulky items.
The Town's solid waste contractor, GFL Environmental, will complete a full pass of the entire Town on September 6th. Please avoid placement directly under utility lines and large trees, and please provide adequate separation from any vegetative debris piles.
GFL will collect larger bulky items from residential properties, including the following:
• residential appliances,
• old furniture,
• lawn furniture,
• large boxes, and
• other large residential use items that won't fit into a typical trash container.
It is important to note that the following items will not be collected, as they cannot be legally disposed of in a landfill:
• construction and demolition debris,
• tires,
• car parts,
• yard waste,
• paint,
• electronic waste,
• pesticides, and
• any other hazardous materials
