The town offers trash collection which occurs every Monday morning. Please have your trash can by the road no later than 6 a.m. In addition, recycling is picked up every other Saturday. GFL Environmental Inc. will not pick trash up on the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. If the collection day for Cape Carteret falls on one of those holidays, the trash/recycle pick up will be rescheduled for a different day. A friendly reminder that the Town contracts for one and only one trash and recycle receptacle for residential locations.
