Town of Cape Carteret General Administration Finance Officer/Finance Specialist
This position directs and oversees the Town’s financial management operations to include general accounting, payroll, accounts receivable and payable, revenue collections, financial strategies, planning, forecasts, audit preparation, and assists in the development of the annual budget. Familiarity with SAGE financial software is preferred. Position reports directly to the Town Administrator. Work is performed in accordance w/established municipal finance procedures, local ordinances, and NC General Statutes governing local government financial operations. Municipal finance experience preferred. Applicant must pass a background check and must be bondable. Town of Cape Carteret Public Works Department Temporary/Seasonal Part-Time Employee Must be able to work in adverse weather, including rain, snow, heat, and cold. Basic tasks include mowing of the town rights-of-ways, picking up debris, removal of leaf and limbs, maintaining lawn equipment, ditch work and patching of streets. Must be able to operate all equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks, including the operation of tractors, hand tools, and mowing machines. The hourly wage is $10.
