Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday: 9:00am-5:00pm

Cape Carteret Town Hall is located at 102 Dolphin Street. At this location you can purchase a boat ramp pass, purchase a golf cart permit, obtain a re-entry pass, and obtain a yard sale permit. Staff members can notarize your legal documents. Notary service is free for residents and $5 per signature for non-residents.

Tax Information

The 2016 tax rate for the Town of Cape Carteret is 19.75 cents per hundred dollars of tax value. Carteret County is now collecting taxes for the Town of Cape Carteret. Please follow instructions on your tax bills regarding payments. The tax value assessments are performed by Carteret County and the town is unable to adjust those assessed values.  Tax bills become delinquent the first Tuesday in January.  Payment arrangements for future bills must be made by contacting the County Tax Department.
